# The sharpest read of Chile's power market.

We measure Chile's entire power system, from Arica to Chiloé, combine its signals and turn them into intelligence so generators, transmission companies, self-generators and investors can decide sooner.

Our read of the week

Nearly half the week at zero marginal cost: 49% of 220 kV intervals. The widest gap between neighboring nodes opens in south-central Chile, between Ancoa and Charrúa (US$11.7/MWh).

Source: Chile's system operator (CEN), real-time marginal cost. Average from 2026-09-26 to 2026-10-02.

11.7 US$/MWh

## separated Ancoa from Charrúa in week 40.

It is the largest price difference between two neighboring nodes of the grid, averaged over the last seven days. We read every node, every day: where the gap opens, why, and what it means for your contracts and dispatch.

## We combine the system's signals to see what is coming.

Prices, operations, regulation and the market move together. We read them together, with more than 25 years of experience in the sector, and turn them into a dated decision before the effect reaches your results.

Weekly Grid Report · previous edition, Sep 18, 2026 – Sep 24, 2026

The regulator's pressure on Chile's grid operator now falls on market participants

Under an action plan ordered in an enforcement proceeding by the electricity regulator (SEC), the system operator now requires participants to bring their platform data up to date by October 15 and to join a trial run from October through December. What used to be routine reporting now becomes evidence.

OASIS clients received it on Sep 25, 2026; it is published here a week later.

## One intelligence, four ways to put it to work.

1. **Aug 31, 2026**: Grid cybersecurity: Chile's new standard reaches consultation as the sector already reports attacks. On August 28, Chile's energy regulator opened its electric-sector cybersecurity standard for public consultation, a process begun in 2021. A day earlier, the grid operator's official log recorded four events at two coordinated companies' facilities, self-reported by the companies as cyberattacks.
2. **Aug 18, 2026**: Courting the demand before defining how to connect it. Seven days apart, Chile's government convened the global data center industry and published a plan that projects that demand and reinforces the need to expand transmission. Both facts are public and official. What has not yet been defined is a framework specific to this kind of load.
3. **Aug 7, 2026**: When the rule gets calculated before the parameters are published. 2026 will be calculated under a methodology whose parameters have yet to be published — and that year feeds the five-year average behind 2027's firm capacity (Potencia de Suficiencia). What's decided in October doesn't get corrected in November.

We work so the power sector decides with an edge, and to accelerate the transition toward a system that runs around the clock, with zero emissions.
